If you're over 13 years old, you probably remember exactly where you were on that day in history. But how much do you really know about your birthdate? Here are some fun facts about your age and birthday.
Did you know that there's an official date for your birth? It's not just any random number. In fact, it's the exact day, month, and year you were born. So, if you were born on January 1st, 2010, then you were actually born on January 2nd, 2010.
There are two ways to calculate your age based on your birthday. One method uses the Gregorian calendar (the one we use today) while the other uses the Julian calendar (which was used before 1752). To find out how old you will be in the Gregorian calendar, simply add up the years since your birthday. For example, if you were born in 1960, you would be 63 years old in the Gregorian calendar. To find out how old you would be in the Julian calendar, subtract 730 days from your birthday. For example: If you were born on June 30th, 1960, you would be 62 years old in the Julian calendar.
It’s also possible to compare your age to the current year using the Gregorian calendar. Simply divide your birth date by 365 and then multiply by 100. So, if you were born on January 1st, 2010, you would turn 13 years old in the Gregorain calendar in 2023.
In the United States, we use the Gregorian calendar, so the first day of the year was January 1, 1753. However, the Julian Calendar was used in England until 1752, so the first day was actually December 25th, 1752. This means that people who were born before December 25th, 1753, will be considered to be younger than those born after December 25th, 1754.
It’s easy to forget how old you really are. Many people think they are older than they really are because they have lived longer than others. For example, if you were born in 1950, you would be considered an adult at age 18, but you would still be considered a child under the age of 19. On the other hand, if you were born on December 25th, 1954, you would be considered a child until you turned 19 years old.
